Enter; Orlaith

((So I decided to begin an rp of my own. Anyone can join in if they like ^^ The setting is in the Valley, shortly after the rats of NIMH arrived. This is when my character, Orlaith, shows up and reveals herself to the newcomers. I'll start off ^^ ))

The sky was gray, air brisk since the sun had not yet risen to warm the chilled valley. The thick fog that had settled in the trees hid the young she-rat as she walked among them, her tail waving back and forth gracefully, checking on the newest plants she'd been growing and eating a raspberry. She smiled, looking upward as the first few golden rays of light streaked across the sky, marking the beginning of a new day. Stuffing the rest of the berry into her mouth and swallowing it quickly, she stretched and closed her eyes serenely to take a deep breath of the fresh morning air. But she suddenly caught a whiff of a strange and unfamiliar smell. She bristled a bit, and opened her eyes quickly.. There was no one to be seen. Thinking it might just be her senses deceiving her, she brushed her hair out of her face and stretched again. There was a loud noise from not far off, that sounded like a clank, or a creak of some kind. She jumped a bit.. That wasn't normal. Slowly at first, but gaining speed quickly, she took off in the direction of the noises, careful to stay concealed within the safety of the fog..

After running for a while she stopped and hid behind a tree. There was the source of the noise. A group of rodents, all different. She hadn't had time to see what they were doing, and she didn't want to chance peeking out again, for fear that they would see her.
