Open for RP - Post your character names and descs here!

I have opened the forum up for RolePlay. At the moment, I'm only requiring the following rules in addition to the Forum rules:

1. It must be based on the Secret of NIMH, or Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH
   
2. It should not follow NIMHmuck's continuity. I'm not interested in seeing "competing" rp.
   
3. If your idea involves Feature Characters (i.e. the characters from the book or movie), I reserve the right to handle the application process for those characters.

   Before starting, though, I'd ask that everyone that participates put their character's name and information here. RPs should be started in seperate threads, even if they're from the same continuity. When starting an RP, identify it by whatever the name of the continuity should be in the topic title.

Description: Brown fur with peach muzzle and ear insides.
Bio: Jack had a normal life, but after a close encounter with Dragon at age four, he lost his parents. He was carried off by the Great Owl to be eaten when in an act of compassion the owl told him of the Rats of N.I.M.H., who had taken residence under the thorn bush of the Fitzgibbon Farm. He was taken in by the Rats and raised like one of their own. He is now coming of age and wants to repay his debt to the rats.

As for her magical capabilities, they're negotiable. Basically, she relies on spells and chants to channel her natural power. They're strictly defensive, as Serena is a pacifist, and really only concerned with protecting her children. She can't use them offensively.

Megan had the right idea format-wise. Keep in mind, people are looking to know about your character when you write these descriptions, it will make for more involved, and better detailed role-play if you get into these characters and develop them into well-rounded outlets for your creative muse. (I do this alot, hence why I suggested an RP forum for the board.)

Age: Depending upon the timeframe this RP takes place in exactly, she'd have been just a child during the escape from NIMH, and in early to mid adulthood now.

Gender: Female

Species: Rat

Alignment: There is no good and evil, merely right and wrong, and everyone has the propensity to encompass both in the grand scheme of things.

Profession: Both a scholar of sorts, and a healer, Quinn's main purpose is maintaining the colony as Nicodemus once envisioned it. She is an outspoken voice on the council, and a stubborn one, at that, but responds to logical ideology with an open mind.

Personality: Often thought of as "one of the boys", Quinn is adventurous and far from dainty or overtly "girly". She is not shy to speak her mind, but is a bit rough in the art of making friends, as a good book or map to pour over are some of her greatest companions!

Appearance: Small, for a rat, but long limbed and slender, Quinn is more feminine looking than her rough personality would make her seem. She is a pale champagne with a white blaze and underbelly, and dark eyes. She wears only a tunic style top of a sage green hue, a dagger and herb pouch at her waist, and a simple white stone hung from a thong of twine around her neck.

History: Quinn and her brother, Maddox, were their parents only children. The city was dirty and crowded, but food was plentiful, and there were always places to hide. It was loud the night of their capture. Humans rummaging in their homes, banging on trash cans, dumpsters, stomping on the manhole covers of the sewer...The two young rats were seperated from their mother in the chaos and captured with many others. The days in the lab left them changing, and at night, when the others spoke, Maddox woulf curl in the corner of his cage closest to Quinn's and they would whisper plans as well.

The night of the escape, they were released by another, ushered along to the vent. The young rats were clumsy, not like the many adults, and though Maddox had clung to Quinn's tail, he fell, with the mice, back into the fans of the vent just inches from freedom. Quinn mourned the loss of her brother, but readily helped the colony to build the catacombs beneath the rosebush, spending the light hours when they could not work so as not to arouse the suspicion of the farmer pouring over the plans and suggesting alterations here and there.

As time passed, she became a skilled healer, and took the task of teaching basic skills to others, she dove into architectural projects, and lent a hand in every aspect of the thriving community. It was with a heavy heart they lay Nicodemus to rest and left the rosebush, but with Justin at the forefront of the Thorn Valley project, they did their best to form this new life around the ideals which Nicodemus had instilled in them.

As long as you note here which characters you're RPing. And I think we're starting with one big one, though I'm not sure.

With every large storyline there's always smaller storylines running through it. Especially helpful when you don't want you characters to have to fit the mold that comes with most major storylines....

Alignment:Elizabet is what some would call a grey charactor in that she is neither wholey good nor completly evil.

Profession:Elizabet is a fine line between soldier, gaurd, scout, and hunter.(rats are omnivores after all)

Personality:Elizabet strikes most people as shy at first because she is unable to speak, (instead she comunicates with her eyes and hands) because of this she has an unatuaral love of music (particalry Visciose Cabarie and 99 Red Balloons) and will willingly listen to what other creatures have to say.

Appearane:Elizabet is a wiry grey rat of average size, her fur consists of two layers.
1.A short soft silver-grey insulatory under coat.
2.A longer coarse coat of black hairs that serve as extra sensory akin to wiskers.
Her eyes are black like those of most rats.
She wears a vest-style tunic made from blue and white striped cotton and a belt crafted from plaited twine on which she keeps a long bladed knife. Her only adornment is a spirel of pale furless skin next to the far corner of her left eye. She is also left handed.

History:Elizabet is a member of the first generation after NIMH, she grew up listening to stories of her parents time at the facility and grew to despise the human race despite all the advantiges they had given her through their genetic experimentations. She taught herself the use of a blade through observation and consently sneaking out to watch human videos.

History Background: Zen is the runt of Krim and Jennefer's third litter, also the only surviving of that litter. Around the time he was born, Jennefer had an affair and decided to mate with another mouse, planning on leaving an unstable Krim. When she had a child with another mouse though, Krim blew up and attacked both her and Zen, Zen managing to flee for his life when he was very young, though Jennefer wasn't able to. Due to her giving birth recently as well, she passed on after the attack, though she did manage to give her last child, Sirus, to her new mate. Zen lived on his own for the rest of his life, learning how to survive and scavenge for food. He eventualy found his older brother Cho, the only remaining mouse from Krim and Jennefer's first litter.

She has golden fur, that darkens around her nose, arms, ears and legs a bit. Her eyes are a deep clover green, and she usually wears muted or Earth colored clothing. Greens, browns, blues, etc.

Personality: She is a sweet and fun girl, always ready for work and play. She is very honest, and some might call her strange. She has had many self-proclaimed new names throughout her childhood, such as Mudpie, Folderol, Sunflower, Liondandy, Wigwag, and Foofarah, and sometimes changes her name even now... But usually only for a few days. Her moods are like seasons, coming and going. She never seems to care if anyone thinks she's odd. She is a caring and loyal friend as well; She knows when to say "Hey! Why're you so glum? Snap out of it!" and she also knows when to stay quiet. She is wonderfully different, and it's hard not to develop a liking for her.

Hobby: She loves botany and gardening. She is very good at both as well.

History: She lived in the valley long before the rats of N.I.M.H arrived. She grew up there, botany being her specialty. She was raised by her parents, Brunnhilde and Briartach, but they moved away to live elsewhere after a fire ravaged the place. Orlaith remained there, despite her parents urging her to go with them. She lived alone in the valley and nursed the plants and earth back to health. Her ancestors are Scottish rats who came to America on a ship in the early 1600's. Her name is of Scottish/Irish origin, and means "golden queen".
She currently lives in her little hut in a treetop, and enjoys the new company. She likes Brutus, and tends to hang around with him a lot. Her favorite colors are green, orange, and blue. She loves gardening and helps out with things of that sort any time she can.

Bio:Ebeneezer Julius Anderson Ahmet Vortec was born in January 20th 1956 in the city-state of Durmit in Thorn Valley. He was abnormally smart as a mouseling and kit. He made human materials with the resources around him. He later built a human cottage for his mother and himself. He also built a mouse-sized car, and various other materials to make their life human-ized. He skipped elementary, middle, and high school, and ended up at Chestnut Park University at age 12. The unusual thing about Vortec was that he was very tall, slender, and light, and he aged in human years. This was a brief concern with his family. He obtained two Ph.Ds in Math and science as well as engineering and architect. However, due to his mother coddling him heavily, Vortec realized that inside, he was meant to be an evil mouse. He terrorized the village in which the rats of NIMH lived near the market. When he was there, he was sent to the NIMH laboratory. He went completely crazy and twisted after spending two years in a cage at NIMH. He eventually escaped with the rats, and he parted with the rats and briefly joined Jenner to become part of his fleet. He dropped out of that after a year and hired a group of other mice to build a human-like city-state at thorn valley with human homes, cars, and other items. This took up lots of room and almost sent the rats out. From his experience as a member of the rats, he began terrorizing rat city-states. He called his mouse-only city-state "Roducus" and set up an army to continue taking over parts of thorn valley.

That's basically it. He's a twisted guy who has a huge and developed to look human city-state with good mice, and he's really smart, but instead attacks inhabitants of Thorn Valley. Other than his land of course.

Bio Hector Schumann was born in Iowa on September 11th 1978.

As a child, he was curious and fairly smart. Some four years later his family was attacked by a stray cat which claimed his father's life and nearly killed his mother.

Mother and son left Iowa and soon moved into the field at the Fitzgibbon's farm, where Hector spent the next few years mostly finding food and looking after his mother, most of the time she was sunken by grief and couldn't even bear looking outside afraid that a cat lurked around the next corner.

In 1980, the Fitzgibbon's cat, Dragon, killed Hector's mother, leaving him as an orphan, once at the age of sixteen, Hector crossed paths with Mrs.Brisby and her husband, Johnathon, the couple offered shelter but the young mouse refused, preferring to be alone.

Now, Hector roams the Fitzgibbon farm as a thief, every inch of land as his stomping ground.
