Greetings from the High Desert!

Hi, there! :D I'm new here, so I suppose I should introduce myself. :wink:

I've been a NIMH fan for as long as I can remember. May seem silly for someone who's nearly in her twenties to be attracted to a bunch of cartoon caracters, but hey, I see all these other posts and I don't feel so silly anymore.

I had no idea there were so many fellow NIMH fans out there! :shock: I guess I came here because my nickname is 'mousie'. I'm kind of shy and quiet.
Though my primary interest is in SW, I still like NIMH for the story and definately the music. I've been trying to play the main theme on my flute but can't get it 'cause my flute only has one octave. :cry: Anyone know where I can get some sheet music for 'Flying Dreams'?

i have butr another warm welcome i agree too many people accociate things that could be fun with age but i think everything that a 3 year old can enjoy a 19 year old can if not why have kids. oh and happy birthday Whiskers57 how old are you turning out of curiousity.

My name's EagleBlaze.

I love to read books, what can I say?

First off, I loved watching the movie The Secret of NIMH and after I saw the movie, read the book and it's sequels. I own the SoN on DVD and watched it over a dozen of times. This is one of the rare times, I think that the movie was actually better than the book (if you take my point).

Besides the movie SoN, I love to read/watch: All Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Treasure Planet, Titian A.E., Anastasia, Mulan, Tarazan, Mercedes Lackey books, Tad Williams, and Terry Goodkind/Brooks books.

As for my thought's on the Secret of NIMH II, personally, I thinked that it royally sucked. I just didn't think that the plot outline wasn't great. I only watched it once and that was it.

I'm a Justin/Mrs. Brisby fan, though I do read other SoN novels that don't have that paring since there's not a lot of fanfics to chose from. I have two questions.

1. This may sound stupid, but how do you post pictures up (next to your screenname)? When you post replies on forums like this one. I've been wondering about that for a while now. :?:

2. Also, I've found that another website that has a plot (kind-of, it says that it's a plot of a video game kind of) and I kind of want to use half of the plot in a fanfic that I could try and write. Should I try and get premission from the owner of the website itself to use the plot? Here's the link:

In your first question, sign in, go to your profile, scroll down to "Avatar Control Panel" click on "Show Gallery" lots of NIMH pics should come up, find the one you like and click on the white dot and submit, if all goes well, then head to the nearest bar and brag 8) .
