Yeah baby, I'm back!

Hey everyone.

My name is Megan Lucas, and I've been a fan of NIMH since I was about nine years old. Then I discovered the internet, and all hope of leading a normal social life disappeared completely. :)

I'm 23 now, and I ended up taking a long break from the fandom for awhile. I participated in the RPG board "Rat Race", but after that ended, I found that I really needed a vacation from the fandom.

Where did I go? College. I studied illustration. Maybe I'll manage to create some decent NIMH fan art, but I'm afraid of embarrassing myself. Animals are not my forte, but hey. :) I have also joined the working world (cue: 'Psycho' theme) as a graphic designer. until the world recognizes my incredible artistic talent.

I remember in my early days, I was a huge fan of Jenner and Justin. (Er...not in a slash-pairing way. Just....ew.) That hasn't changed at all. Justin, my first-ever animated crush! Man, after ten years, that hat still does it for me. And I totally want Jenner's cloak. The guy might have been evil incarnate, but damn if he didn't have killer fashion sense--yes, pun fully intended.

I also participated in one of the old NIMH mucks, as a character named Cordelia. Anybody remember me? Bueller? Bueller?

Well, if not, whatever. I'm happy to be back and to find that the fandom is not entirely dead.

Thank you! I remember you too, Simon! NIMH muck's still running, is it? If I can find the link, I'll check it out. I kind of miss RPing.

It's definitely good to be back. :) (I would try to be more interesting and verbal right now, but I am still really tired from New Year's.) Which reminds me, Happy New Year to one and all! May your hangovers be as mild as possible. :)

Hiya! Welcome back Megan! Well yeah, I don't know you yet so I should say just welcome Megan_L :wink:
Anyway, nice to have another NIMH fan around! And of course if we move some chairs and tables a little here and there... Just kiding! :lol: We have plenty o' space on the fan art, and can't wait to see another artist on the loose :wink:
And will be cool to have another player at the NIMHmuck too, so come and join the party Meg!!

Welcome Back Megan_L , Yeh, once in the blood, you just keep coming back, Tho I was not on line in the mid-to even the end of the 1990`s, I first saw the movie on tape in 1984, the rest is history.
Hey, I thought I saw you over at Robins`s fan-fics site, if that was you, I hope you enjoy some of the new stuff you have not read yet :D

Yes, that was me over at Robin's site. :) And yes, my avatar is from Inuyasha. I'm more of a Koga fangirl myself, but Sesshomaru's got a special place in my heart.

I'm definitely interested in checking out the newer fanfics, and possibly writing up some new ones of my own.

Welcome back Megan Lucas, although we have not meet before on a forum (My quest for knowledge about "The Secret of NIMH" took me at the beginning of 2002 to the Internet and the Thorn Valley site).

Your fanfiction "All is fair in Love and War" was an interesting read and puts an original and new perspective on the happenings before, during and after "The Secret of NIMH".
