So I'm here visiting my dad here in Palm Springs, CA for the
weekend and I got online. I searched movie quotes of movies
that I like (Fear and Loathing, Trainspotting, Reservoir Dogs)
and then remember "Hey I wonder if they have anything from
Secret of Nimh". Saw some, googled 'secret of nimh' and found
this site. Just spent the last hour looking over thornvalley's pics
of the movie, reminiscing and totally remembering this movie
from when I was a kid (born 1980, probably saw it first when
I was 6 or so though). Wow. I so intend to rent it and watch it
again, see if it's still got that scary, mystical and dark vibe
which made it stand out when I was a wee lad.

Nice site. If I wasn't too busy with law school these days I'd
be the first to take up trying to write a Mud of my own based
upon it (noticed the NIMHMuck). I like RPing but I like the
competative pkilling from time to time aspect too :).

Great movie. Very nice site you have here. Brought back some
memories. I'll probably be lingering around here every so
often

Welcome Ktavialt, to Thorn Vally :D

Enjoy your vacation at "Plam Spings" ( just a kip and a hop from where I live )

The fist time I saw S.O.N. in 1984 I was 27 years old and amazed at a more mature Story/ animation that was not from japan, yes the dark side was there and it made a wonderful story but as we become older the movie is not as scary as we may think..
Most who seen It as childern, grow to love it as adults.

Feel free to jump in on all forum stuff going on and past things you find in the forum that you may have questions to.

Great folks here at Thorn Valley :D .

!!! Law school? No way! Which one? Where? As of right now, I'm setting myself up for a legal educaction in pursuit of my Juris Doctorate with Oak Brook College of Law in California! That's so cool! I never thought I'd meet another law student here. :D

But anyway, cool. Welcome aboard! Have lots of fun; it's a must hereabouts. The fan art is incredible and the fan-fiction is entertaining. If you're really into RPing, and you find the time before classes start up again and drown you in research, I'd check out the NIMHmuck. www.nimhmuck.com It's cool.

Well I go to West Los Angeles Law School. I finished my first year.
My outlines are yours if you want them. I've taken Contracts I and II,
Torts I and II, Property I and II, Legal Research and Writing. If you
have any questions, let me know. I start my second year in exactly a
week from now.

As far as NihmMUCK, I'm heavily into RP but I like dark, twisted and
brutal environments :). I play Armageddon MUD which is like some
sort of post-apocalyptic primitive desert planet based on the DarkSun
RPG. Not trying to advertise the other mud, but giving you an idea of
my type of Mulili and I'm going out on a limb here when I'm guessing
that this isn't the same style that NimhMuck has. Just my personal
preference, of course.

Anyways, like I said drop me a line if you want the outlines I made
for those subjects.

Would you really share your outlines? They would be so appreciated. I believe I would be eternally in your debt. If you're serious and wouldn't mind, I'm all for taking you up on your offer. Here's my e-mail:

I'm still knocking out my core as of yet, pushing a BA in english with a minor in who knows what. I'm beefing up on Latin, though, as prep and electives. I'll be registering for my first classes this "coming" August; that's 2006. :? A distance away, but I already have a substantial library to read from.

Which reminds me, the college I'm learning from is very intensive, but it's also a correspondence school. Well, mostly correspondence. I'll get my JD, but in order to practice law in Texas I'll have to study through another law school that the TBLD and SBoT will recognize. I've received some flak for that, but it's "the" school I want to receive my degree from. If I need to go again to a different school to be a practicing attorney, so be it. You have to choose a school that meets your standards, you know?

But anyway, I would love to see your outlines. Thank you so very much for offering them.

Hehe, I don't know who all is still here, but this seemed like the most appropriate place to post this tidbit.

I've been busy with work (got a job at a law firm! Yay!) and school, but I wanted to thank you for lending me those outlines. The pages on Torts and Contracts has been most useful thus far. Good luck with your studies this semester!

Welcome Ktavialt,
may your works for the law school be rewarded with good grades.
I hope your studies donĀ“t interfere so much with your hobbies like my job does, resulting in this late greeting.
