Well... I've been very busy with other projects, notably getting Robin's Fanfic Archive[=http://robin.thornvalley.com]Robin's Fanfic Archive up and running, as well as adding content to it... At this point I'd say we're a little less than half done.

Anyway... I just recently uploaded a whole slew of images from Marcus Lindemann to his gallery[=http://www.thornvalley.com/gallery/fan/marcus]gallery. Most of them are "Oldies but Goodies" that I've culled from my email and found out that I hadn't posted them originally, for whatever reason. Anywho.

Also, Procyon[=http://www.thornvalley.com/gallery/fan/procyon]Procyon and Louise[=http://www.thornvalley.com/gallery/fan/louise]Louise have both uploaded some very cool new art since last update, so check them out, and send 'em a note to let them know how appreciated they are.

I know I do.

Oh, one last thing... I've /finally/ gotten around to adding avatars to the avatar gallery, which you can access through your Profile link at the top of the page. Enjoy!

I have enjoyed it! Thank you very much for that pictures, Simon.
This is a very good portrait gallery. Even if you already have an avatar you should visit it (After a tour through the additions to the Fan Art). There are some very nice character pictures that you donĀ“t find in the Screen Shots-Section.
Thanks again.

Thanks for the comments on the avatars. I'm glad you enjoyed them--they were made using some new screengrabs that I made from the DVD of NIMH that I own; thus why you don't see some of the images in the main screengrabs gallery. I might make a new gallery showcasing those DVD grabs sometime. I'll have to think on that one.

One thing I'll say, though, it's a lot easier doing screengrabs off the DVD than it was doing it off VHS like I did with the original screengrabs... Those originals took me at least a week to capture, and then each one needed a certain amount of 'cleaning' done to it to correct the colors and get rid of some distortions that appeared when pausing the video. It was a major project. Now, all I have to do is pause the movie at the scene I want to capture, do a frame advance until I get the picture I want, and done! For this avatar project, I captured about 400 new screengrabs in a single day--and since they are all perfect quality images, there's no need for the cleanup process.

Anyway. I'm not sure what the point of that is... Maybe that I shouldn't try posting to the forum after midnight on a Friday... ;)

The avatar gallery is awesome! What more can I say.

awesome-- inspiring awe (I'd say it fits the definition. Great work, Simon!)

Like Whiskers, I thought it would take a revelation to stop using the one I had, as it was symbolic of something. I guess the revelation came. <lol>

And now the usual random quote, as is my custom.

The DVD-playing software on my computer (CyberLink PowerDVD) has an option to make screengrabs of frames of the movie. That's how I got them.
