The Red Circle

I don't know if anyone else has seen this, but I've noticed a strange thing when watching TSON. It's right after the scene where Nicodemus is watching Mrs. Brisby and Jeremy through his viewer. When the scene cuts to a full shot of them, you can briefly see an image of a red circle in the sky behind them. It's only there for a second, but it's fairly noticeable. It almost looks like an afterimage of Nicodemus' viewer.

I don't see it in my copy. Can you post a screenshot?

I can`t find it on my DVD, if I could find it I could make a screenshot.

It's not especially clear, but you should see it if you look closely.

I can vaguely see it, but it hardly looks intentional and I couldn't reproduce it. So I'm inclined to believe that it's not part of the film at all. Is that a VHS copy, btw?

That screenshot is in fact from a VHS tape. Myabe it's something to do with the original film which was corrected for the DVD, because I have not seen it on my DVD copy.

Thanks for the screen grab Slew, My VHS tapes, more so when they get old seem to do weird things with the reds.
