It's been a while (like, a couple of years at least) since I last did a search for new NIMH sites. Feels like not many people are doing them anymore, though I'd love to be mistaken. Anyway, I was hoping to update my
links page[=http://www.thornvalley.com/woods/]links page soonish, but since I'm lazy, I thought I'd ask here before searching around.
So, know any NIMH-related websites that I haven't linked to already? Go ahead and link them below. :)

The Big NIMH Page had ended last year, and is no longer up. But you can link to my site from here;

I'll need to make a banner soon.

I`ts sad to see, I wish more new NIMH sites, but as far as I can see me and Nimhster are the newbee sites, I started in 2005 and needs an update bad since 2007, but it`s still so hard to see a NIMH site go away it breaks my heart, some a great history in the fandom.
I`ve found no new ones myself :(
I love the book and movie and animation, and would to thank you Simon for making a link from your site page to my site, it has been a great help, but at times I fear I am only a shadow of the masters from years past.
DM`s Secret Mouse Hole, NIMH/Animation is still here.
Is it that something has slowed me down, I noticed that the love and fire for such a great story has seem to faded somewhat, is there any hope?
A small spark in the right place will always break in to a fire, boy do I need a small spark, (in the right place)

There's hope, as long as we continue to care and update our sites. I've managed to get ahold of some old people's emails that used to have a NIMH fansite. I've emailed them once, but I'm sure they have new emails by then. I've emailed Emily, that used to have "Justin's Home".
If only I had watched NIMH earlier in my life, I would've known about the sites more.

Nimhster, your faith inspires me :)
I saw the movie in 1982 as a young man of 25 years, and later I read the book!, it may fade a bit but you will never get rid of it.
There are times I love to check out the old NIMH sites :)

I'm flattered, thank you! :) Even though I never got a reply back from Emily, I'm still waiting for a reply. I'm very busy with High School now that I'm finally in, it's a CON for my site, I can't update a lot every week now, I just have to take my time and plan ahead on a day on when I can do it.

Hmm... Not sure about the whole "Official NIMH Fansite" angle. Not much there yet, but it's a start, I suppose.

Me thinks what's needed to stir up more interest in this movie to the point wher people are willing to create a NIMH site is for the good folks at MGM/UA to re-release the movie to the silver screen. After all it's been more than 25 yrs. since the movie made its debut and there's a whole new generation of kids and adults out there who have not seen this movie thus are unawre of the treasure that they are missing. One can only hope that someone, somewhere within the vast corporate halls of MGM/UA sees their way clear to give the go-ahead to re-release this film. Just think of the new interest, not to mention the merchandising that could be generated were this to happen.
Peace :D

Sadly, SoN is just not quite popular enough to manage a theatrical re-release. I also suspect that a re-release might have to be re-rated as well, which today would get it probably a PG rating or so. Much as I would like to see it happen, it just won't. It could of course wind up in some of those weird independent theaters that show strange stuff, but that definitely won't get any mass appeal.
As to fan sites, I think part of the problem there is that the WWW isn't new and shiny anymore, so people are less motivated to create websites just to do so. Takes a bit more justification for the effort nowadays. A decades old animated cult classic of a film doesn't really make the cut, I guess.

As much as I would like MGM to re-release the original, I think we would be lucky to get so much as a Blu-Ray version of the movie.
Entertainment quality standards today are considerably lower than they used to be, and people are not that likely to recognize it for the good movie it is. Much of the target age group is into cheap, low-quality "sitcoms" (without the comedy). I think, sadly, we are and will mostly continue to be the only people who enjoy SoN, with the exception of a few new fans here and there.

Though not really Official, a new fan is trying something.

Yeah, I realized the signatures from this person here, I should've put them up on my board notifying about a new site, but oh well. Good to see the NIMH fandom has a chance of survival!

I actually started on a site like a year ago. I was extremely amateur at HTML at the time, and while I'm still not that great at it, I've been under a lot of pressure with college/social life at the moment to really continue it. Maybe one day when things slow down.
I hope the movie will be re-released someday..and if its actually promoted a little, you might see a small wave of new sites/fans. Who knows. Other animated movies get second wind every time they're re-released. But to tell the truth I didn't even realize that NIMH was on DVD till way after it was printed. You could just tell by the packaging they didn't put much effort into the release.
