Nimh episode: 3 The Constant Menice

O.k I was just thinking if (and thats a pretty HUGE IF) there was ever a Nimh 3 what would it be like?

Presonnaly I think the only way they could ever make a third film is if (like with star Wars) they make a prequal which I think wa what they were thinking when they initiually came up with Nimh 3 in the planning stages but due tob the bad performance of Nimh 2 it was straped.

Still it would have been nice to see the Brisby legacy start from the begining giving more insight into Johnathon's character and was it was like in Nimh.

But alass it is not to be, still what do you guys think?

I too wonder from time to time aboout this subject and I agree with you that indeed it would have been nice to see the "beginning" of how things came to be. Who knows... Maybe someday just such a movie might be made in the not too distant future, but as Jenner stated when addressing the crowd before him after the collapse of the rigging that ultimately killed Nicodemus; "Not now."

If they were to make a decent NIMH3 (i.e. with Don Bluth in charge and honest to goodness classical animation), I'd personally love to see a more in-depth telling of the story of the Rats of NIMH from the beginning, like Nicodemus tells in the book Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH.

Hmm, that would have to be a very long time then. I don't think anyone would want to spend the time nor the money to make another NIMH movie after the poor success of the so-called "SoN 2". If so, they'de have to spend more money on getting ol Don and the other animators back, not to mention the animation.

Anyway, I think a "SoN 3" would be good idea. It could be about the past events from the first "SoN", possibly about Brisby when she first met Jonathan, or how the rats of NIMH started a community and such.

Well, if another NIMH was made, and done well by Bluth, it should still just be a sequel to the first, as I don't consider the so called NIMH 2 to be anything part of the Secret of NIMH storyline, but just a big mistake that should be forgotten. PLus, call the sequel something other than 2, but maybe a whole new name with at least NIMH still in it.

While I would love to see a Bluth "Secret of Thorn Valley" sequel to NiMH, I would even more so like to see the escape from NiMH and the wooing of Mrs. Brisby.
