"Firefly" meets NIMH

I really don't know how to explain this. I love the show "Firefly" as much as I love NIMH, and these particular quotes seemed to fit the specific characters so well.

My only regret is that I couldn't find any quotes for Mrs. Brisby. :p

But yeah. Here ya go:


Firefly Quotes For NIMH Chars:

Justin:

"We've done the impossible and that makes us mighty."

"Time for some thrilling heroics."

"This is what I do, darlin'. This is what I do."

Yes, I realize that all of these are Captain Mal Reynolds quotes. I think he and Justin have a lot in common, actually--though Mal's a bit more pragmatic than Justin is shown to be in the movie.

Jenner:

"Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die!"

"Mercy is the mark of a great man."

Do these require any explanation? I think not! Though "I aim to misbehave" is almost scarily like Jenner, probably the way he sees himself.

Jonathan:

I know, lame. Just one quote. But he only appears in the movie like twice, so cut me some slack. I was lucky to find him a quote at all.

Nicodemus:

"It's a real burn, being right so often."

"Also? I can kill you with my brain."

Something tells me Nicodemus would get along famously with River Tam.

Martin:

"Well, they tell ya, never hit a man with a closed fist, but it is on occasion hilarious."

"Let's moon 'em."

Brash, impulsive and freakin' hilarious: somehow, this seems to hit Martin's personality right on the head. And I could totally see Martin mooning someone. ;)

Now, i know there's good Mrs. Brisby quote out there by either Kaylee or Enara, but i just can't think if it right now. I'll have to go load up the series just to fine one.

(P.S. Cedric, the show 'Firefly' was the precurser to to the movie 'Serenity', if you've seen that.)

I, too, liked the Firefly concept which was put in Serenity. However, I never did see anything of the TV series itself. The way the space battles were depicted in Serenity were more believable to me than Star Wars.

Sounds interesting. I'll keep an eye out for DVDs of either of those.
