Well, I'm an artist who does occasionally color on the computer--but it's always from hand-drawn art. (I can't draw worth jack on the computer--paint, yes, but draw? Forget it!)

I personally prefer traditional animation to Pixar, just from a stylistic standpoint. The two can be merged successfully (i.e., "The Lion King", and the "The Road to El Dorado"). Personally, I prefer a little of each. But then, I'm a gal who likes variety.

That said, I really don't like the onslaught of Pixar-esque movies. Not because I actually hate any of them, just because there's nothing else to choose from.

I have enjoyed these movies in the past--I love "Ice Age" and "A Bug's Life". I can take or leave the "Toy Story" films, but they did have great plots and fun characters. I haven't seen any of the recent Pixar stuff--frankly, none of them strike my fancy.

I doubt very much that traditional animation is dead. In hibernation, maybe, but not dead.
