For reference, here's a list of all of Bluth's movies, ordered from favorite to least favorite:
SECRET OF NIMH 1982 - Obviously... :)
AN AMERICAN TAIL 1986 - I think the great music for this one made it for me. The singing "musical" parts worked well within the movie, I think, and James Horner's score is a work of art. I didn't care for the way they anthropomorphized the mice more than they had for the Secret of NIMH, but I still like the soft, NIMH-like artistic style for the backgrounds and such. The story's a good one too.
TITAN A.E. 2000 - A fun movie with excellent visual effects. I think it sticks out as a departure from Bluth's more traditional settings/plots. Nothing challenging for a Sci-Fi plot, but hey, it doesn't stop it from being fun.
LAND BEFORE TIME 1988 - All right now, admit it. How many of you cried when Little-foot's mom died? (raises own hand) I thought so. The story retreads a lot of the same ground as American Tail's story. Again, I'd say that James Horner's music counts for a lot in this one.
ANASTASIA 1997 - Good story... kinda strange the way they worked Rasputin into it... not sure that part worked all that well; they probably could have changed it or left it out. Escaping from Communist Russia probably is exciting enough without the demons if you do it right. Definitely one of his better movies, tho.
THE RESCUERS 1977 - Waitaminute, isn't this a Disney movie? ;) While I'm sure that Bluth wasn't directing this one, it's still a fun movie to watch. While plot contrivances abound, it still manages to have a decent story. Besides its a mouse movie... it's gotta be good, right?
ROCK-A-DOODLE 1992 - Uncle Dookie! Uncle Dookie! Seriously, the only really good reason for seeing this movie is to see the antics of the evil Grand Duke's bumbling nephew. The rest of it is just... weird. lishrugsli
ALL DOGS GO TO HEAVEN 1989 - I haven't seen this one for a long time, so I don't remember it that well. I think I thought it was okay, but it too was rather weird for me.
PETE'S DRAGON 1977 - Another Disney thing? Sorry, disappearing dragons and slapstick humor don't really do it for me.
PEBBLE AND THE PENGUIN 1995 - I saw pieces of this... not impressed at all. Only marginally better than Scamper: the Penguin or a slap in the face.
These are the ones I haven't seen:
THUMBELINA 1994 - the previews looked... odd...
TROLL IN CENTRAL PARK 1994 - I know nothing about this movie other than that it exists and didn't do very well. Might've been Direct to Video?
XANADU 1980 - Gesundheit.
BANJO THE WOODPILE CAT 1979 - Other than the fact that this one got Bluth started when he struck out on his own, I know very little about this one. But my local library seems to have a copy, so I'll have to take a look at it.
And that about sums it up.
