Does anyone know anything? What's wrong with it, when it will be back up?
Thanks,

I`m sorry Simon, I hope it perks up soon, but I was wondering why you can`t use the froum wth a sepreate listing for RP ( some do), tho I`ve tried to get on to NIMHMUCK. I`m told there is there a difference.
I have been on Jeremy`s forum for a bit and he had a RP part in the forum most of us did not touch it until some said "lets do it " and before you knew it I was in my first RP story. It seems to go OK and gets a bit silly at times. Is there a difference between MUCK and FORUM RP ?

Is there a difference between MUCK and FORUM RP ?
It's similar in some respects, the main difference being that it's done in real time, like a chat room. It also has a more 'immersive' environment (as far as text-based mediums go): there are generally rooms and buildings and environs and such to serve as a backdrop and to navigate and explore. But hey, don't take my word for it; check out the Connect page on http://nimhmuck.org and see for yourself.

NIMHmuck's back up now. Sorry for the interruption, folks; Jeff was out of town for the week, so he couldn't get back to us.

That is a good idea, whiskers. Although I cannot expend much time for the MUCK, I do know of several sites in which on-forum roleplaying goes on, quite heartily. Although keeping things linear can sometimes be difficult, the overall effect is quite rewarding, especially since it gives on more time to concoct a response.

Out of curiousity, where's Jeremy's forum? And I'm curious whether there would be interest for an RP forum on Thorn Valley (or possibly Robin's)?

An RP forum here on Thorn Valley? I'd totally be into that. Current computer situations mean that I can't stay on very late at night, so real-time RP can be a problem at times.
And YAY for the wizards! NIMH muck is back up! w00t! You guys rock. I love every last one of you.

Yeah, an RP place on here (or Robin's) would be awesome! I'd have to get use to it, of course (never tried forum RP) but I'm sure it's not that hard, once you get the hang of it. So yeah, I say GO FOR IT! :D
Oh, and yes, the wizzes on NIMHmuck rock this world! ;)

An RP forum here would be nice. Would we need the different sections like we have on the Muck?

Please do not make fun of this, this was our frist try at a RP, we and other fans where new at this. :?
uh...Simon...i know you don't want to hear this but...
I can't get muck.nimhmuck.org to work right now. The alternate (70.190.215.53) seems to be working fine, but for some reason i keep getting a 'connnection timed out' message on the normal server. It was working fine for me last night. It might just be a fluke, but i thought i'd let you know anyway.
i retract my former statement. Everything's working fine now. Must have been my computer or something
Umm, Simon, i know you don't wanna see this but...

As of yesterday, yes. It's been off and on. If you're going through withdrawls, I'd recommend going over to Tzolkin's muck, Dreamscape:

Simon

Just use muck.nimhmuck.org. No need for an IP address.
I heard, or read rather, about the CaD on NIMHmuck, and i'm concerned. is this gonna cost you guys, and is there anything i can do to help? I really hate to see this happen, especially after you guys worked so hard to get it up and keep it up. I hope for the best.
Amazing, the muck's been around so long and they now just all the sudden decide to barge in? I'm curious as to what brougt it on.

If this is an April Fool's joke (and despite what I'm about to say, I hope it is) I'm going to hurt somebody...
And if it's not... I'm going to be very sad. :(
Simon

Well, since April 1 is over, I think it's okay to let the cat out of the bag. It was just a joke. I was just as surprised to see the notice as you all were when I logged in though. n.n;

It looks like for the next while, Jeff is going to be Public Enemy #1. I hope Jeff has life insurance!... or at least fur insurance, As I'm sure he's going to be shaved at the -very- least by the muck's player population.
Haha, hehe, hoho, funny. you had me. i'll admit. very funny. Now i'm gonna strangle the life outta ya. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
Great joke, seriously. you had me pretty bent outta shape with that one. haha.

Hi,
Simon, I just want to let you know that for some reason I can't get onto NIMH muck (I use muck client) and whenever I tried to log on it says that the connection has timed out. (It's like the example that Tod posted before hand). I don't know if it's just something with my computer or the main system that the muck uses since I couldn't get on last night or today.
Sorry, just thought that you wanted to know.

Everyone should thank Jeff this time for sure since the 'fix' wasn't specifically sever-related.

Whenever you can't connect, your best bet is to check out http://nimhmuck.org/ first. In this case, it explains on the main page, that due to the server change over, the current muck.nimhmuck.org address may not work, and that temporarily, you may need to use the IP address which is as follows: 24.251.239.238
Nimhster

It's been working the last few times I was on.
I used to be on NIMH Muck as James and then Ethan (if anyone remembers) but was kicked off due to misunderstanding.. A long story really..
