Good luck, and God speed. Ive never really had a family member be in that sort of situation, so I can only imagine how it must feel. I'll pray for you and your mother, as well as the rest of your family.

You know, although Ive never had family affected in such a way, one of my teachers had been in intensive care for while with cancer. I am sad to say that things just got worse and worse for her until finally, they decided to give things one last shot with what many doctors call a "miracle treatment". Sadly, this time, it just wasnt enough. She passed away on Thanksgiving day...

...but you know what? I bet that in her final hours, in spite of her condition, she still was glad knowing that she had a lot to be thankful for, and recognized it for the miracle that it was-- not a treatment, not a cure, no sort of physical remedy whatsoever,-- but a "Get Well Soon!" ballon by the window-- cards from her family, friends, and students-- the play going on in our auditorium that she, as the drama teacher, never got to see, as she went into intensive care after writing the scripts. Another teacher filled in for her, and saw to it that the play was a great success, and extremely enjoyable.

We dedicated that play to her. So long, goodbye, and farewell, Mrs. S  She was a great teacher... always managed to keep a positive attitude, even at the worst of times. Thats really all I can even come marginally close to relating with,(still, compared to a mother, its not much) but dont worry, you are not alone. I hope things work out, like we all hope they do. God bless.

I'm praying for you and your mom, too. My father had hodgkins disease and chemo cured him of it. He didn't require much radiation to recover afterwards to keep him in remission. I genuinely hope and pray all goes well, and that whatever transpires you and your family can place youir faith in the Lord.

thanks for all your support. the good news is she is out of her first treatment. and is doing alright. the bad news she is not feeling her best. but we expected her to feel sick after treatment. so she is a little sensitive to smell so we can't cook alot of food that leaves an arroma without opening a window. and she is also needs to be careful about getting sick wich has me a little worried. but all in all she is alright considering.
