Let us not forget the fact that a little fear can often be a good thing. For example: fear is what keeps most sane people from say wandering to close to the edge of a cliff, driving too fast on the freeway, or bad-mouthing the neighborhood bully. In life threateniing situations like these, a healthy dose of fear could be all that stands between you and certain bodily harm, if not death altogether. Also let us not forget that it was a certain shrew sized mammal skulking and cowering in the shadow of the dinosaurs that through multiple paths of divergence over millions of years became the insectivores, rodents, canine, feline, ursine, equine, and finally (the family that we are all part of) the primates. Who said that the meek won't inherit the Earth?? :) :)

B-but fear leads to anger, and anger leads to hate, and hate leads to riots, and riots lead to expended energy, and expended energy leads to hunger, and... so on and so forth. Or they could just be on a path to the dark side. :o

1st off tort just hahahaha I love your since of humar
2nd on a more sensitive note while i agree a certain amount of fear is good there is no way i will agree that fearing any bully is good. to fear another human because of such acts as bullying is to impower people who do such acts. we need to teach our kids to stand up together against bullies and to get adult support.
3rd i disagree the meek never inhereted the earth only those willing to fight and stand together against all those who would try and destroy them or thier beliefs.

To Leejakobson,
You're right and I apologize for the poor choice of words given in the third example of my previous reply. I agree 100% that bullys should be stood up to and not feared. This is not always easy mind you, but as you said yourself, "To fear them is to empower them." :)
