If someone were to make a cult that worships NIMH characters, would you be in it?

WHy or why not?

Hmm. Depends on what you mean by "cult".

If it's a cult according to definition 6, then I'd say we already make up a 'cult' of sorts. ;) However, since you refer to worship, I'm guessing that's not the case. So, no. It's a great movie and story, but that's all it is. The characters are all fallible to some degree, and while some are admirable, none of them are worthy of worship. And that's leaving aside the fact that they are fictional.

Sorry if this is a serious answer to a less than serious question, but I do take a few things seriously.

Oh, and congrats on getting into High School. I understand that that's quite an accomplishment over there. :)

To me, I think SON is a "cult classic."

Hmm.. I think in my case it'd be according to how the characters were being worshiped.

If it involved doomsday, sacrifices, or charismatic leaders, I'd have to say no way.

However, if the approach was more like modern day wicca or druidry, I might consider it.

Anyways, that's my demented opinion. :P

I would definately not join the cult group if they do stuff like that. Why would they anyway?

I asked this question 'cause the whole magic in the story is kind of something that somebody might want to worship (Somebody. Not me!)

My question was also inspired this image below.

I don't know, it kind of looked like the rats were worshipping the stone power.

Also I was inspired by the way Jonathan and Nicodemus were treated in NIMH 2. (To me it looked like Jonathan was treated more than a hero...)
