Domo!

Personally, my favorite character of SON is definately Mrs. Brisby. She is one of my four favorite animated mice (One's Johnathan, and the rest are Disney mice)

My impression of her is that she is kind of two sided. I mean really, so many people are. But to me there are two Mrs. Brisbys. One is the side in which she is shy, quiet, and can't argue. The other side is obviously the courageous side. But not just that, on the other side she is also "responsible." Basically she faces most of the characters with her "first" side, and faces her children, and also Jeremy with her "second" side.

(Well, it's kind of obvious in the way she faces her children. After all, she is a mother.)

To me personally Mrs. Brisby is a very interesting character.

"How would you personally discribe Mrs. Brisby?" is my question. I want to know what people think about her...

How would I describe Mrs. Brisby?

A mouse: a small mammal or the order of rodentia, Mus genus. Small, furry, proud owner of whiskers and a tail... she would usually keep to a diet particular to a herbivore, though apparently mice are in fact omnivores and will partake of carrion in a pinch. She would also be colour blind (that is, if she were a typical mouse).

Oh... She's also taller than I would have expected...

How does one describe the indescribable?

As for whether she had or gained courage of the heart, my opinion is she always had it, she just had to find it.

How does one describe the indescribable?

Well, then here's my question to you...

How is she indescribable?

The answer to that question can be likened to bottled lightning... Hard to catch, even harder to keep.

Either that, or I'm not understanding what it is you are asking. What do you mean when you ask 'How is she indescribable?'

Sorry for the delay and the inconsistancy. My mind just doesn't seem to grasp the question for some reason.

"What are your impressions on Mrs. Brisby?" might of been a better question. I want to know what you think is special about her and opinions like that.

"how is she indescribable" I wanted to know why you wrote
"How does one describe the indescribable?"

Ohh, I understand now. . .

First, an explanation of why I answered the way I did.

From my point of view, Mrs. Brisby is an extremely complex character, so complex that I tend to view her as more of an entity than just a character. And from my point of view, describing her would be impossible since that would require me to interpret her as an entity. Though I can understand her, and sympathize with her plight etc.. like I'm sure many here have, I cannot interpret her, as one can only interpret oneself.

What are my impressions on her? That she is very powerful, and her lack of selfishness show she has the wisdom to use that power. She is strong because she has the wisdom to use stregnth, which in itself is the greatest stregnth.

What do I think is special about her? The answer to that doesn't come easily, as I think everything about her is special. I mean, imagine what the movie would be like without her...
