At 1020 this morning (Mountain Time) there were 205 users online on the T.V. forums. o
The last time a new record was set, last August, it was a “mere” 44, and I thought THAT was an eye-popper. I asked Simon about that, and he had no idea. So what’s the story with this one? Who are the 205? (ooo, mysterious!) Was it an online flash mob or something? C’mon, somebody ‘fess up this time!

Hmmm...One (unlikely) reason is there might've been an attempt to do a Denial of Service attack: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denial-of-service_attack ...Very unlikely, but it could /possibly/ explain it.
One (also unlikely) reason is that someone directed traffic here via referral traffic. But 205 visitors at once? Seems unlikely.
Spam bots could've flooded in like they did on Robin's. Again...seems unlikely, and probably stupid to even mention.
There ya go, 3 unlikely reasons why there's above average site traffic.

I just now noticed this after you posted. I can believe that the reasons shivermetimbers had posted could be possible, but still, quite a bizarre occurance. :o
