While I hate to rain on the cuteness, always be careful with wild rodents. Many species are carriers of
Hantavirus[=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hantavirus]Hantavirus, which has no vaccine or treatment and is often deadly and at least extremely unpleasant. It can be transmitted via contact if you're not careful, so in general it's best to avoid handling them directly.

Not to worry Simon. I should have mentioned that some good old Playtex dishwashing gloves were used during the handling of this creature. The gloves were then disposed of so as not to contaminate anything they may come in contact with.
Peace :D

So glad all went well in that encounter NIMHmaniac, but we are all creatures so to speak, God has made the order, humans carry many diseases, If I Captured Mrs B. would she have far more to fear from me or I to her in transmitted diseases

Hey Whiskers,
Your point is well taken. If I may borrow a line from Justin; "Sometimes we take ourselves a little too seriously." As humans, we tend to put ourselves on a pedestal to elevate ourselves above all flora and fauna. This of course is wrong for we are animals as well and as such, we share this planet earth and its environs with every other beast, bird, fish, reptile, ape you could care to name. What we still don't seem to realize is that what happens to them will ultimately happen to us if we are not careful. Everytime a fellow species goes extinct, it brings us that much closer to our own extinction as a species.
Peace 8)
