This is a project I've been wanting to do since I first heard the NIMH Soundtrack Album. I've already done a project like this for Bruce Broughton's Lost in Space Score, and now I'm doing it for NIMH as well. Ladies and Gentlemen, The Secret of NIMH Rough Complete Score! :D
The two primary sources for this restoration are the Official Album and the DVD Audio Track. I started the Lost in Space Rough Complete Score by fixing the absolutely most horribly presented track on the album, then went back to the beginning and worked chronologically from there. I'll do the same with NIMH. The two most horribly presented tracks are The Sentry Reel/Story of NIMH and Escape From NIMH/In Disguise. Here are the discrete versions of those cues:
Jeremy In Disguise[=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFMglr16OLM]Jeremy In Disguise
The Sentry Reel[=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YpfNvBxlDU]The Sentry Reel
Nicodemus And The Story of NIMH[=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IH7BkyLpTvw]Nicodemus And The Story of NIMH
Escape From NIMH And The Stone[=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OEAi2WrlqM]Escape From NIMH And The Stone
I'll post more when I get the chance! The list in the NIMH Soundtrack thread will be updated as I upload new videos.

Awesome work. I knew there were cues missing from the soundtrack CD, but I didn't realize how many there were. Hearing this more complete version brings out a lot more of the lietmotifs in the soundtrack as well. You hear a lot of them in the original soundtrack, granted, but they're not as repeated and varied there as in this complete version.
I wonder if the BluRay's audio track is better, though. A lot of the DVD rips sound a bit distorted, and I'm not sure it's the voice removal that's doing it.
One other thought while I'm thinking about it; it'd be cool to see this done with screengrabs every so often punctuating where the musical cues line up with the movie.

You're welcome, but I thought you didn't really care for any film's score in general, much less an effort to obtain the complete version of it.

I might've said something along the lines of "I don't go out of my way to listen to movie scores." But really, I just like good music. SoN has a great soundtrack, with a kind of bittersweet feeling to it. It does sound better when used in conjunction with the film than on its own; that's was what I was trying to say. Would I go out of my way to buy the soundtrack? No. Do I think it ranks up on my favorite music? No. But that doesn't mean I don't appreciate the effort. I do like some movie scores, but I'm mostly a metalhead/hard rock kinda guy.

Excellent work with these! Now if only there were some music sheets, I'd be playing these on my keyboard. :)

That'd be cool! Then we wouldn't have to hear tinny dialogue during the missing cues.
Say, if you're good with sheet music, perhaps you could write piano covers or MIDI files for these. ;) licrosses fingers hopefullyli

Cool! Say, if/when you decide to do this, could you start with Jeremy the Crow[=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlVSB7FMfqI]Jeremy the Crow? That should be easy enough: it's short, uses only distinct themes, and has no dialogue to blot out the music. :)
