li Speaking of "fuck it," does anyone mind if I use swear words in my posts? I'll be moderate and I will not be disrespectful in my use of them, but if I feel a point needs to be emphasized or if I'm writing a story where characters swear, I will want to use them. If this presents a problem for you let me know.
I do mind if you swear, unless you're writing a story. Fictional characters don't always have to behave themselves. ;)

Though I don't think it's necessary, I'm not personally offended by it; I think too many people let mere words affect them, and when it's a word that could be substituted for another that means essentially the same but is perceived as being "offensive," "naughty" or what-have-you, it makes the whole issue especially silly. Having said that, I think it would be a good idea to tone down the F-bombs, because there will always be those who will attack and mischaracterize you for it. And we are trying to keep this site relatively family-friendly, and let's face it, it doesn't exactly help. And it is included in THE RULES.

Alrighty, I'll limit the cursing to my stories then. I understand people have limits and even though I may not share them, I do respect them. I'll use phrases like 'Great Jupiter' and 'Huggie Monkeys' instead.

In all honesty, nobody really cares about my Bipolar Disorder, so I changed the subject to something fun. I could go into more detail about it, but it would probably get too personal and graphic for the forum.
